Parnassos Ski Center

ΤParnassos Ski Center is the largest ski center in the country. Located at an altitude of 1,640 to 2,260 meters, it has 23 ski slopes, totaling 34 kilometers, offering all levels of difficulty. The upgrading of the lifts and the integration of the Kellaria and Fterolaka facilities have made it the most up-to-date ski center in Greece.

The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) began initial construction of the Parnassos Ski Center in 1975, with the first phase completed in 1976 when the facilities at Fterolaka began operations. In 1981 the Kellaria facility was completed, and in 1987-1988 the Hermes ski lift between Fterolaka and Kellaria was added to the complex. In 1993, a modern four-seater ski lift, named Heracles, was installed at the Kellaria 1950 location.

In recent years, HPPC has upgraded the ski lifts thanks to the funding from the Greek state and the European Regional Development Fund under the Thessaly - Central Greece - Epirus operational program. The project was completed in two phases: at the Kellaria location during the 2007-2013 programming period, and at the Fterolaka location during the 2014-2020 programming period at a total cost of €29,012,000.

  • Modernization of lifts at Parnassos Ski Center (Phase I) in the area Kellaria, implemented during the 2007-2013 programming period
  • Modernization of lifts at Parnassos Ski Center (Phase II) in the area Fterolaka, implemented during the 2014-2020 programming period
